From the seedy underbelly of alien capitals to the sterile corridors of a psych ward on her long-lost homeworld, she has fought for survival armed only with her wits, her strange crystal-born gifts, and the unshakable drive to uncover the truth.
But old enemies aren’t the only danger. Whispers of a cure for the galaxy’s most feared disease put her at the center of a storm of political intrigue, alien agendas, and family ties stretched across the stars. In a universe where trust can be fatal, and survival demands invention, Scarra must navigate shadowy alliances, outthink those who would use her, and race against time to protect the ones she loves.
This is two books of poetry combined into one, the first was written 2007-2010 during my time at college.
The majority of the poems in this book were written Between 2009- 2022. I took time off from writing poetry and focused on novels. These poems are not dated. Most were written between 2020 and 2022. They were written during COVID and my mental collapse.
I am bipolar, have anxiety and depression so I write a lot of emotional poetry, but my poems are all over the place just like the chaos of my existence.
I am inspired by Poe to allow my darker side see the light through my words. My other biggest inspiration is Robert Frost, poetically.
Come and judge
One and all
I’ll not hold a grudge
Nor names ye call
I hope my poetry connects to others on an emotional level or is at least a window into what it’s like to have a chaotic mind.
